1. Try Different USB Ports
Plugging the USB drive again can be an option, maybe you have not put in well the first time. There are chances that due to some regular usage or completely no usage of a specific port, the USB port gets some hardware issue in it.
This hardware issue will lead to a non-detection of the USB drive or the content in it. So, trying other ports is a good option for starting with the solutions.
2. Error Checking Tool
Before going for other software or downloaded tools, let your Windows check for the error first. All you have to do is go to My Computer, look for the plugged-in Pen drive or external disk.
By clicking the right button on Mouse, go to the pen drive properties.
In the properties, you will see the Tools section on the top menu of the properties box. The first option you see here is Error Checking.
You will see the first box written: “This option will check the drive for file system errors”. All you need to do now is to click the Check button and look at what Windows is suggesting to you.
An Error Checking window will pop up in front of you stating, “Scan and repair drive”. Click on the button and wait for the system to check the drive. It will analyze for errors in the device and will repair it if needed.
3. Update Your media drivers
After plugging in your Driver, if it is not showing any data in it, right-click on My Computer or This PC and click Manage to go the device manager, or simply search Device Manager on Settings.
There we can an option of Device Manager which opens up all the available devices connected to the computer.
Search for Disk Drives where your device is will be listed and right-click to open up options and update the device. In my case, it is Sandisk you can check according to your drive brand.
This, of course, needs an internet connection. A command of How do you want to search for Driver? will open. Click on Search Automatically for updated driver software to find it online.
Now all you have to do is restart the computer and see if there are any changes from the earlier results.

It happens often that the driver gets a No Media when there is a conspiracy with the alphabet of the disk driver.
For changing this, in the search bar, search for the Disk Management and you will see a button mentioning Create and format hard disk partition, left-click on this and Disk Management window will open.
In the list mentioned, right-click on your pen drive name for getting options and click on the option “Change Drive Letter and Paths…” and a new window will open, there again click on Change and in the Assign the following drive letter: change the alphabet name as per your choice from the drop-down.
Assign new letter to your disk it will fix no media problem.

Download Software called “Minitool Partition Wizard” and install it on your computer. In the Application Interface, you will see a Launch Application command which you have to click and enter into the app. You will see a list of drives on your computer; find your Pen drive on the list.

Now the disk is removed from the drive, type Create Partition Primary and enter, the computer will again create the partition.
Now enter Format in the next command and it will start formatting the disk, wait till it finishes to 100% formatting.
Now after formatting, you have to clean the disk.
For cleaning, you need to first select the disk, Type List Partition, list of all the partitions that will open up. After the list is displayed, type Select Partition and select partition 1. Type Clean in the next command and it is all done.

In this last step, we will upgrade the firmware in the pen drive or the SD Card we are having problems with.
The firmware basically helps the external device to connect with other devices for Input and Output options. So we can try to upgrade the firmware version in the pen drive to get compatible with the computer.
Note: We need to Format the device on a lower level in this technique which takes a little extra time, maybe an hour or so.
